The short version
- We collect what we need to build and run your website, reply to you, and bill you.
- We don’t sell personal information.
- We use a few trusted providers: Amazon Web Services (hosting), Stripe (payments), Cal.com (call booking), Google Analytics (website statistics) and Meta (measuring our own ads).
- Email us to see, correct or delete your information.
1. Who we are
Delivery Operator Technologies LLC, doing business as Amplify Web Design (“Amplify”, “we”, “us”), designs, builds and hosts websites for businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information on our website (amplifywebdesign.com), in our client portal (app.amplifywebdesign.com), and when we provide our services (together, the “Services”).
2. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- When you book a launch call: your name, email, phone number, business name and current website. Booking the call itself happens in Cal.com, our scheduling provider, which receives your name, email and the time you choose.
- When you fill in our launch form: your name and email; your business name, services and service area; the phone number and email to show on your website; your current website; whether you have a domain and who it’s registered with; and the logo and photos you upload. Uploaded files are stored privately and are only seen by us.
- When you become a client: your business details and the content you give us for your website (text, photos, logos), plus the change requests you send through your client portal.
- Your portal account: your email address and sign-in details. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider, Amazon Cognito; we never see it.
- Billing: payments are handled by Stripe, which collects your card and billing details. We receive and keep your billing name, email, address and subscription status, but never your full card number.
Information collected automatically:
- Website statistics: we use Google Analytics on amplifywebdesign.com to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, and how you found us). Google Analytics uses cookies.
- Ad measurement: we use the Meta Pixel on amplifywebdesign.com to measure how well our own ads on Facebook and Instagram work. It uses cookies and tells Meta about visits and actions on our site, such as sending the form, booking a call or paying. If you came from one of our ads, we also keep the ad’s click details with your enquiry so we can tell which ads lead to customers.
- Technical logs: our servers record technical details of requests, such as IP addresses and browser type, to keep the Services running and secure.
- Sign-in cookies: the client portal uses cookies to keep you signed in. They are needed for the portal to work.
3. Websites we host for our clients
When someone fills in the contact form on a website we host for one of our clients, we collect what they enter (such as their name, phone number, email, town and message) along with the page they sent it from, their IP address and browser type. We store this on behalf of that business and show it to them in their client portal. The business decides how to use it, and its own privacy policy applies. If you contacted one of our clients and want your information corrected or deleted, contact that business, or email us and we’ll help.
4. How we use information
- to design, build, host and maintain websites, and to provide the client portal;
- to reply to your questions and requests;
- to bill you and manage your plan;
- to keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
- to understand how our website is used and improve it; and
- to meet our legal obligations.
We send you emails about your account, your website and your plan. We won’t send you marketing emails without a way to opt out.
5. Who we share it with
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run parts of the Services for us: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Cal.com (call booking) and Google (Analytics). They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Meta, through the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads (section 2). Meta’s use of that information is covered by Meta’s own privacy policy.
- Our clients, who see the contact-form messages sent through their own websites (see section 3).
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when we need to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
6. Cookies and your choices
Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel set cookies on amplifywebdesign.com. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage how Meta uses information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. The client portal’s sign-in cookies are needed to sign in and can’t be turned off while you use the portal.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and call bookings from people who don’t become clients: as long as needed to follow up, then deleted.
- Client account, website and billing records: while you’re a client, and afterwards as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
- Contact-form messages on client websites: while the business is our client, then deleted on request or when we close their account.
- Logos and photos uploaded through our launch form: deleted automatically 180 days after upload (by then, what we use is part of your website).
8. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (https), access controls and reputable cloud providers to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under your state’s privacy laws. We’ll respond as those laws require and won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
10. Children
The Services are for businesses and are not intended for anyone under 16. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
11. Where we store it
The Services are intended for the United States, and we store and process information in the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top. If we make a significant change, we’ll tell our clients by email or in the client portal.
